It’s been a busy week. I haven’t written here in a week, so I want to make some noise and movement here on the blog space and say 𝐻𝑒𝓁𝓁𝑜.
It is 9:30 AM (ET), Wednesday the 10th of March 2021, and I’ve been enjoying the company of my husband LC in Jacksonville, FL. I’ve recently started sharing portions of our story, how we met, check out these brief snippets on IG. LC and I haven’t seen each other since Christmas, and so we’re catching up, soaking in the sun, creating memories.
This is my second week of school, and it feels good to know that within my online class I’m not the only student over 30, whew 😅. I know many people return to school, however in my culture many folks have furthered their education sooner and are currently working on their doctorate, it’s been a sensitivity of mine, comparing myself to others. I’m working on staying in my lane, focusing on my path. It’s important for me to finish what I’ve started, to be a woman who keeps her word.
My family and friends know that I’m a huge cheerleader, and so what I need to do is direct some celebration and confetti my way, let my conscious and subconscious mind know, ɪ ᴀᴍ ᴄᴀᴘᴀʙʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ꜱᴜᴄᴄᴇꜱꜱꜰᴜʟʟʏ ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴀꜱᴋ. Whenever I complete an assignment, I do a happy dance, I affirm myself and thank myself in advance for receiving a high score in the course, 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕋𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕦𝕣𝕖.
Pardon me as I find my new flow and create a new schedule. In future posts, I’d like to share about (1) my first few weeks and month of being a college student, (2) How to be a successful student – returning to school after a long break, and (3) connecting with my hubby as a new military wife – our long distant relationship.
Whoever you are and what you’re going through, know that you’re not alone.
Know that you matter, your story matters, and that the world needs to hear how you articulate the world around you, the world needs to see your perspective of humanness.
Thank you for every single reader, for every human that is interested in the words mentioned. I hope that you find a single word or sentence that triggers a message or mantra that you need to hear.
I hope that we continue inspire and encourage one another. I hope that my doing, impacts just one human on their path of authenticity, vulnerability, and awareness.
